You’re possibly asking yourself, “So what if I don’t want to be a killjoy?” Like any universe, Overjoyed needs more than its bounty hunters—though if you do want to be a killjoy, please take a look at the factions page for more information on the RAC’s finest. But there are a lot of roles to fill in Overjoyed, and we don’t want you to think for even a moment that these won’t play plot pivotal parts in the events to come. For example, we’re going to need:

Doctors.

Legit and shady alike. A lot of people get hurt and not everyone can or will be treated on the level. This includes surgeons who implant illegal modifications.

Company enforcers.

Not every Company man or woman is a bad egg, and not all of them are loyal to their betters. The boots on the ground who interact with the people are prone to abusing their power in one direction or the other--for their own good or for the good of others--but either way, they're well paid and so long as they keep their head down, they've got the most secure jobs in the Quad.

Warrant/information brokers.

A killjoy is only as good as the information they have. A good warrant broker is like a good dealer--they know what you like, what price you want it for, and they provide an ideal delivery window. While warrant brokers are certified members of the RAC, information brokers do not have to be.

Local business owners.

It's the Quad dream--settle down, open a sexer shop or a bar, make a load of Joy, and then hop moons once you can get a better visa. Whether you want to run an illicit gambling den or a Qreshi stock market makes no difference to us--as long as you don't mind the occasional bullet flying by!

Criminals.

From small fish to smooth organization leaders, we need them all. Keep in mind, however, that in game actions will have in game consequences, and warrants will be issued for any crime reported to the authorities--so tread lightly and have a getaway driver. (Or, alternatively, be ready to shell out a lot of joy.)

These are just a few examples of the many different roles and jobs available at Overjoyed. It can be mundane as a temporary staffer or as exciting as genetic engineering (that's exciting, okay?)--just so long as it works with your character's skill set and would feel "natural" to them. Want to start or complete a warrant or get CR out of it? Maybe you're looking for a black market surgeon? Whatever the case, a job registry will make that a lot easier! To claim your job, please provide the following information:

Character name

Or alias, whatever they will be best known by in the game.

Canon

Please specify if game/anime/series/etc if your canon has multiple universes.

Journal

Your character's journal used in the game.

Employer

Who do they work for? The RAC, Company, themselves?

Job type/title

Whichever is clearer--if their title is "overlord supreme of the minions" but what they actually do is "CFO of cybernetics division", go with the second option.

Level

Only applicable to employees of the RAC.

Location

The primary location where your character does their business. For RAC agents, this can be RAC headquarters or their primary docking planet. For business owners, this is where they're physically located.
