A Killjoy who is 'fired' will have a kill warrant listed for them, and would need to live life on the run.

As for quitting of their own free will - Killjoys are contractors, so there's no official avenue for this. A Killjoy would simply stop taking warrants, and is able to start up whatever other business they'd like. If they do this, they'll be listed as 'inactive' on the RAC roster. However, since Killjoys give up their citizenship status to join the RAC, and doing so requires utmost neutrality, any move that indicates an alliance or pisses off any one faction is likely to end up in a kill warrant, as well.
